2021 INTO 2022

for me was also a significant year with ample blessings
Two daughters and my niece conjured up a googly eye family joke
into a theme: for some playful souls ,it has become a fun project !
Many remarkable pieces are self-evident in a visual presentation
made by Will Morrison, George Chiang, Ellyce Cavanaugh and
Cathy Chou, available for you on my site. Enjoy!

Of course, we have greeting cards which came to life given an eye;
others put two eyes on a face or faces and altered its mood. A few
showed spinning eyes with wishes, big and small.

There are Chinese symbols inspired by my class. There are seed
eyes, battery eyes, nut eyes, bean eyes, three dimensional ones in a
box, a pendant, two donuts on fancy socks and shoe horns, a whisk
broom and a spinning mobile.

Sewings too, an apron with pockets. I also received music on disks
and even a $2 bill for good luck.

Sixty years ago an assignment like this would be given at Pratt for
my students to be graded.This project, in contrast, came from the
ground up voluntarily for sheer pleasures in true Vegetable Roots
Discourse spirit!
